This Privacy Policy explains how BubbleStory ("we", "us", "our"), operated by A. D. Gadhiya as a sole proprietorship based in India, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our service at bubblestory.io (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect: name, email address, and authentication credentials (managed via Firebase Authentication).
1.2 Content You Upload
We collect and process the text content you submit (chats, journals, stories, poems, scripts, etc.) and any reference images you provide for character generation. This content is processed to deliver the Service.
1.3 Generated Output
The comic pages, prompts, and intermediate artifacts produced from your content are stored in your account.
1.4 Payment Information
Payment is processed by our payment partners (Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, or similar). We do not store your full card details. We retain transaction metadata (amount, date, payment method type, customer reference) for accounting and support purposes.
1.5 Usage & Technical Data
We collect logs related to your interactions with the Service (page generations, requests, error events), device and browser metadata, IP address, and standard cookies necessary for authentication and basic analytics.

- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and service updates
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues

3. Third-Party Processors
To deliver the Service, we share specific data with the following sub-processors:

4. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

5. Data Retention
We retain account data and generated content for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we delete personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g. transaction records for tax purposes, typically 7 years under Indian law).
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security review. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Transfers
BubbleStory is operated from India, and our processors are located across multiple jurisdictions including the United States and the European Union. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your own.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use limited analytics cookies (e.g. anonymized page-view tracking) to improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
